About Bruce Linton
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, researcher, author, and founder of the Fathers' Forum.
Dr. Bruce Linton, Ph.D., MFT
Bruce Linton is a consulting therapist who has worked with new and expectant fathers for over 35 years. He is the father of two children and grandfather to two more.
For more than three decades, Bruce has facilitated Men's Groups for Fathers of Young Children — weekly gatherings where dads talk honestly about how parenthood is changing them. Groups have included expectant fathers and men rethinking what masculinity means when you become a parent.
Bruce received his Ph.D. for his research on Men's Development as Fathers. That work — and everything on this site — grows out of what men have actually said in those rooms: the pride, the fear, the distance from friends, the new tenderness, the arguments at 2 a.m., and the quiet moments when a father realizes he is not the same person he was before.
